Callie is a family calendar service, currently free while in beta. Using it means agreeing to these terms — written short on purpose, because you have a family to run.
Callie displays calendars from feed links you provide, on your TV, phone, tablet, and the web, along with lists, reminders, and photos from your own iCloud album. It's in active development: features may change, and while we work hard to keep it up, we don't promise uninterrupted service or any particular availability. If we ever plan to shut the hosted service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice — and because Callie is open source, you can always run the server yourself.
Everything your family puts into Callie stays yours. You give us only the license needed to store it and show it back to your family — nothing more. Your calendar data lives at iCloud or Google either way; deleting Callie loses you nothing.
Don't abuse the service: only add calendar feeds you have the right to use, don't probe or disrupt the servers or other families' data, and stay within the product's limits. We may suspend or close accounts that do otherwise.
Callie is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. Don't rely on it for anything where a missed or misplaced event could cause harm.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including missed appointments, lost data, or lost profits — and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (for a free beta, that's zero) or US$10, whichever is greater. Nothing here limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.
You can stop using Callie and ask us to delete your family's data at any time. We can suspend accounts that break these terms. Sections about content, warranty, and liability survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If something goes wrong, email us first — hello@callie.so — and we'll try to fix it like people before anyone involves a court.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the sign-in screen with a new effective date. Continuing to use Callie after that means you accept the updated terms.
